It’s been a long time coming and it is finally here: The Beer and Blog Network! This Friday we are opening up registration beginning with the Portland chapter who started it all.
It’s offline registration only and all you need to do is show up to Beer and Blog. That means everyone on the network is a real person and has only 1 account. Registrants will be able to network with members from every chapter of Beer and Blog. We’re on track to have 50 chapters by the end of the year. And the 2010 International Beer and Blog meetup in Vegas is coming in January, which we expect to have over 1,000 attendees (coinciding with CES, BarCampLV, DorkBot, and a Social Media Club event).
We’re also going to start co-planning with the community. That means you can weigh in on topic ideas, field trips, site updates, and more. We only want to hear from people who have attended at least once, so that planning will take place on the network and will be open to all with an account. We believe that networking online
We expect registration to be a little hairy this first day, so @mediachick @verso @emailstine and I will be helping add people. I haven’t talked about that with the ladies yet, so I hope they are cool with the idea
